Paula Irene Morales was born March 7 th , 1953.  She was the 3 rd born of 8 to Katherine and Nicolas Morales.  Paula married her teenage sweetheart, Vernon George Burton on July 24 th , 1971, making her –Paula Irene Burton.

Paula became a proud mom for the first time on June 23 rd , 1970 to Brian.  Later have two more children, Sean on November 7 th , 1971 and again on December 18 th , 1973 to Angel.  Paula became the proud grandma (a.k.a. Nana) to her first of eight grandchildren in August 1991, then became the proud great-grandma (again Nana) to her first of eight great-grandchildren in March 2012.

Paula worked many jobs.  Her most notable job being a lunch lady for the Minneapolis Public Schools.  After 32 years, she retired as a manager at the Minneapolis Public Schools nutrition center.  There she made sure all schools received breakfast and lunch meals for the K-12 students.

Paula loved her family, dearly.  The one word she used the most was “baby”.  Paula devoted her life, time and energy on her family.  Not a day went by where she didn’t pick up the phone to call at least one of us daily.  Every birthday you could rely on getting a card from her.  Every holiday was spent with her and Vern at their home.  Paula was a kind, understanding, compassionate, generous, loving and forgiving woman.  She truly had a heart of gold!!

To say she will be missed dearly is an understatement.  Words can not express just how missed she will be.  Paula was truly the glue that held us all together.  Not a single second, a single minute or a single day will go by where she won’t be thought of, loved and missed, tremendously.

There will always be a place in our hearts for her.  A place where we’ll cherish her, her love and her memory.  While she may be gone from this earth, her love and her memory will live on for eternity.

There will never be another Paula Irene Morales-Burton.  She is and will forever be, a one of a kind woman.

We love you, fly high with the angels.  Watch over us and help guide us from beyond.  Don’t forget to come and visit us.

-Until we meet again – may you rest in peace!
