Paul (Budge) T. Westerlund, age 74 of Golden Valley, MN passed away January 15, 2022.
Paul graduated from Duluth East High School in 1965. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Radio and TV Journalism from the University of North Dakota while being an active member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He began working at Appliance Parts Inc. as a salesman, later Sundberg America, and continued to work there for 26 years. Paul loved his customers and friends that he met throughout his time there. Paul was known for his great sense of humor and welcoming optimistic personality. He married his loving wife, Mary, in 1989. Paul was a proud and supportive husband, father , and grandfather who loved his family unconditionally - He will be dearly missed by all .
Survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Stephanie (Jim) Wagner, Alissa (Derek) Westerlund, and their mom, Elaine (Dave) Speare; stepson, Chad (Manuela) Ault; grandchildren, Brianna and Joshua Ault, Silas and Zoe Dutra; sister, Saralee (John) Hovanec; in-laws, Kata (Richard) Novak, Angela (Quintin) Rottering, Bill (Laurie) Vasicek, Patti Vasicek; and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Maryjane and Inky Westerlund; and loving in-laws.
Visitation Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 West Broadway, Robbinsdale. Masks are required. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in June.
