Paul Hyde Wallenfelt, Jr.
age 65 of Plymouth, MN passed away on October 2, 2018. He was born in Hibbing, MN on July 1, 1953 to Paul & Marian (Woldt) Wallenfelt. He graduated from Hibbing High School and attended the University of Minnesota graduating with a degree in accounting. He worked as a CPA for Barton Walter Krier CPAs until his retirement. He was an avid MN Gopher football and hockey fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Talking about his grandchildren put a special bright sparkle in his eyes.
Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years Cheryl (Mackie) Wallenfelt, two sons Brian (Kelly) Wallenfelt and Jeffrey (Shannon) Wallenfelt, six grandchildren; Henry, Lauren, Nathan, Colin, Owen and Asher. He has five siblings: Deborah (Tim) Gillis, Susan (Paul) Girard, Jean (Patrick) Spearman, Timothy (Linda) Wallenfelt and Todd (Patricia) Wallenfelt, a brother-in-law Mike Mackie and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Marian Wallenfelt and his in-laws Keith and Lorraine Mackie. Paul was an active member of House of Hope Lutheran Church. A Celebration of his life will be held 11 am Saturday, October 13 at House of Hope Lutheran, 4800 Boone Avenue North, New Hope. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Private interment. Memorials preferred to The American Cancer Society and House of Hope Lutheran Church.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Fairview Homecare and Hospice for the wonderful care and help that they provided. Also, we are grateful to our family and friends for the support and love given to us during Paul’s journey.
