We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Paul Casey, 75, of Hackensack, MN & Tampa Bay, FL. Paul left us on June 2nd, 2022 after a valiant battle with a rare lung disease IPF. He was such a proud, strong man, not many saw his struggle. Paul was born on All Saints Day, November 1st, 1946 to Cyril & Vernetta Casey in St. Paul, MN. Paul graduated from Golden Valley High School in Minneapolis in 1963. He proudly served his country in the Army. After his time in the Army, Paul (or "Crafty" as friends liked to call him) followed his passion into the car business where he spent close to 4 decades.
Paul lived his life by the mantra "There are no strangers, only friends you haven't met yet.” His gregarious nature was only surpassed by his quick and incisive wit. Anyone who knew him knew he was never more at home than when he was on the golf course or hauling in trophy Crappies. If you were lucky enough to have spent time in his company and enjoyed one of his signature cocktails you truly understand the meaning of the phrase "a life well lived." He will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by parents, Cyril and Vernetta; brothers, Chuck, John, and Mike; sisters, Mary Ann Mark and Barbara Savino. Paul will be greatly missed by his wife, Denise; Sons, Sean (Angie) and Ryan (Deanna); and grandchildren, Mila and Jaxon.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am Thursday, June 9 at St. Joseph Parish Center, 8701 36th Ave. N. in New Hope. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery with lunch to follow at church.
