Patricia Ann Hink

Patricia Ann (Schmelitsch) Hink, age 83 of Plymouth, Minnesota passed away peacefully in her home. She lived a long and fulfilling life as a loving wife, mother, and nana.

Pat was born and raised in Minneapolis to Louise and Anton Schmelitsch. She attended Roosevelt High School and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1960. She went on to teach fourth grade at Portland Elementary School in Richfield, Minnesota. Pat married the love of her life, Larry and lived in Mendota Heights where they had their two daughters. Larry’s job brought them to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where they had their son and lived happily for 9 years. Then they moved to Frankfort, Illinois and made many wonderful friends. Eventually they moved back home and settled in Plymouth, Minnesota. Pat continued to substitute teach in all the places she lived. She was active in numerous civic organizations, enjoyed singing in choir at SJTW parish and spending time with family. Pat and Larry traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe in addition to spending months each year in Destin, Florida.

She is survived by her husband, Larry and their three children Ann Marie (Bob) Hughes, Teresa (Paul) Dubravec, John (Amy) Hink; grandchildren Anthony Hughes, Nicholas Hughes, Lauren Dubravec, Joseph Dubravec, Meredith Hughes, Maya Dubravec, William Hink, Abigail Hink and Elizabeth Hink; sister, Lorraine Kelly; brother, Ken Schreiber; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, March 7th at St. Joseph the Worker, 7180 Hemlock Lane, Maple Grove with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
