Patricia I. Curran

Patricia I. Curran (nee Canty), 87, of Edina, passed away with family members present on Saturday, August 27, 2016.

Pat was raised in Hornell, New York and worked in Washington, D.C. for the F.B.I. She married her hometown sweetheart, Paul Curran. Pat and Paul moved to Minneapolis with General Mills and raised two daughters. Pat enjoyed tennis and walking with her dear friend Karen Sims. Her greatest joy was her immediate and extended families. She was the definition of “Mother” and “Grandma” to many including the wonderful Dixon family.

Pat is predeceased by her husband Paul; brothers John (Joanne), Donald (Jennie); sister Eleanor (Charles).

She is survived by daughters, Kathleen (John) and Michaeleen (Eric); Grandchildren, Mary Angela, Patrick, Erin, Kelsey and Johnny; sisters, Vivian (Ben), Nancy (Hugh), Shirley and brother, Gerald (Ruth); sister-in law, Kathleen White. Special thanks to all of her caregivers especially Rhonda Trotter and Kate Dare.

Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Friday, September 2 at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S. Visitation Thursday, September 1 from 6 to 8 at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave. and again at 9:30 AM Friday at Lakewood Chapel.

Memorials to Risen Christ Catholic School or Innercity Tennis Foundation.
