Patricia Carlson

Patricia (Patt) Carlson, age 74, of Eden Prairie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family November 19 following a courageous 3 year battle with brain cancer. She was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother to husband Jeffery, sons Bradley (Nikki) and Daniel (Tara), and granddaughters Scarlett and Olive. Patt retired in 2019 after a long career as a dental hygienist and dental/medical research coordinator at the University of Minnesota. She made lifetime friends through work, school, book clubs, bible study, sports, and volunteering – always there for a friend to talk, listen, smile, and laugh. Patt loved to travel and saw much of the world, always living life to the fullest. Ever the infectious optimist, she faced cancer with determination while fighting to smile and stay positive to the end. She was a true people person and wonderful mentor who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patt was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Harriet Coyne, and sister Sandy Crabb. In addition to immediate family, she is survived by brother John Coyne, sisters Sharon Schwoegler and Karen Kammer (Mark) as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at The Church of St. Patrick, Edina on Thursday, December 2. Visitation at 10:00 with Mass to follow at 11:00. Private interment at Fort Snelling.
