Pamela Sue (Osak) Ledin, age 72, passed away at her home in Plymouth, Minnesota on November 14, 2024. Born on February 17, 1952, Pam was a beloved figure in her community and a source of unwavering love and support to her family.
Pam dedicated her life to nurturing children, first as a devoted mother and then as a cherished daycare provider at the Children's Ark Daycare & Preschool at Calvary Lutheran. Even in her younger years, as the beloved only child and twinkle in her parents’ eyes, she could be seen in a caretaker role to many of her 50+ first cousins. This nurturing role extended beyond professional duties; she was a friend and a 'second mom' to many, always ready to offer love and support. Even after her retirement, her passion for caring for children continued with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her daughters, Katie (Dan) Harwood and Christy (Jerakiah) Baker, and her adored grandchildren, Eli, Lynnea, Tate Harwood, and Brynn, Kensley, & Gracie Baker. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, John and Wanda (Zalewski) Osak.
Pam was a graduate of Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School and went on to attend Western Michigan University. Her commitment to her faith was profound; while being an active member of Calvary Lutheran, she also attended Holy Name of Jesus Parish, and in her later years, St. Joseph’s in Plymouth. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and her generous spirit.
Beyond her family and faith, Pam had a zest for life that was expressed through her hobbies. She loved cooking and sharing a glass of wine with friends. She loved being able to shop and provide little gifts and funny or even kitschy trinkets for her family and friends to enjoy. Her volunteer work, particularly at her daughters' schools and local assisted living facilities, reflected her caring nature and commitment to her community.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church on Friday, November 22nd at 11 am, officiated by Pastor Skip Reeves. In the summer of 2025, a Catholic Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated in her honor at her hometown Church of Our Lady of the Scapular in Wyandotte.
Pam will be remembered for her unwavering love, her nurturing spirit, and her deep faith. Her legacy of kindness and care will continue to inspire those who knew her.
