Olindo Verrico of Plymouth, MN, formerly Dana Point, CA and Toronto, ON passed away peacefully on November 26 th , 2018 at the age of 84. Olindo was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rose May; parents Joseph and Agata; brother Frank and sister Patricia. Survived by loving daughters Joanna and Victoria (William); grandchildren Jennifer (Joseph), Katelin, and Andrew; and brother Angelo (Luisa).
Olindo’s is a true Italian immigrant success story: proud naturalized citizen, successful in his profession as a skilled stone mason turned builder, who in retirement pursued a long-held dream of becoming an artist and, after the death of his wife of 62 years Rose May, found new purpose in Habitat for Humanity, volunteering as their unofficial construction expert. His cooking was legendary, his laugh hearty and always near the surface, and his love for his family fierce and unswerving.
Known for his classy style and charming, outgoing demeanor, Olindo will be missed dearly by all. Services to be held at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel in Plymouth, MN on December 8th at 11:00am; visitation starting at 10:00am. Memorials to Shriners Hospitals preferred.
