Randina (Randi) Ellen (nee Jensen) Cragg
Oct. 8, 1945 to Oct. 18, 2021
Randi passed away quietly at NC Little Hospice after many years enduring dementia/Alzheimer’s.
Preceded in death by father, James G. Jensen; mother, Nancy (Clark) Jensen; brother, James and brother-in-law, Elm Nelson.
Survived by husband of 54 years, Dan; sisters, Christine Nelson, Leslie Honisch (Phillip), Libby Bergerson (Ned); cousin, Carol Birkland (Art Clyde); brothers-in-law, William Cragg and Michael Cragg (Sandra), along with ten nieces and nephews.
Randi graduated from Murray High School in St. Paul, the University of Minnesota and the United Theological Seminary. Her greatest pride was serving the congregations of Faith Lilac Way Lutheran Church (Robbinsdale) and Family of God Lutheran Church (Brooklyn Park).
Randi was an accomplished singer, both as a soloist and a choir member who loved to travel, especially with family members, play the piano, tending her cats, daily walks, playing golf, gardening, visiting museums, dinners at Pub 42, spending time at the Minnesota Arboretum and the Como Park Conservatory and always reading her daily devotions. Annual trips to northern Minnesota to see her cousin Barb (Biz) Clark were always a highlight along with playing golf in yearly trips to Bayfield, Wisconsin.
For thirty years she and Dan were part of a five family “farm group” located in Swanville, Minnesota dedicated to conservation of the land through planting of native grasses, re-foresting, creating reservoirs, creating a dam with the cooperation of the DNR, while relishing the fellowship.
The family wishes to thank Park’s Place Memory Care, North Memorial Hospital and NC Little Hospice Edina for the compassionate and loving treatment given her in her final days.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, October 30 at the Family of God Lutheran Church, 8625 Zane Ave N, Brooklyn Park, with visitation one hour preceding the service.
Memorials preferred to the Family of God Memorial Fund.
