Myrtle M. Nielsen

Nielsen, Myrtle M., age 96 of New Hope, formerly of Minnetonka passed away Oct. 31, 2017.  Preceded in death by husbands, Harlow E. Nielsen and Fidel Eckes; grandson, Patrick Reiner; and brothers, Lester, Dorian and Duane Hughes.  Survived by children, Dale, Janis (Greg) Smith, James (Editha), Linda (Tim) Reiner, and Frank (Bonnie); 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Ferenc; and Fidel’s children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Member of Chester Bird Ladies Auxiliary and Fr. George K of C Auxiliary and also was a Befriender at St. Mary of the Lake Church.  Mass of Christian Burial Monday (11/6), 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary of the Lake, 105 Forestview Lane No., Plymouth.  Visitation Sunday (11/5), 5-7 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. North and one hour before the Mass at the Church.  Interment Ft. Snelling.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the St. Mary of the Lake Music Program or St. Paul Children’s Hospital Cancer Fund.
