Myrt Evelyn Korell
Myrt passed away on February 29 th due to Alzheimers at the age of 95.5 (she was very proud of that .5).
Preceded in death by parents, Olaf and Dina Faro; siblings, Bob, Don, Harold and Lil Hundere-Pedersen; husband, Gale; son-in-law, Jerry Regenscheid; daughter-in-law, Danna Korell.
Survived by children, Bill, Dave, Kathy Regenscheid and Debb (Steve) Adams; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Myrt was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and former employee of Elliot Auto, The Sweden House, International Multifoods, Gabberts, and Hitchcock Industries. She was “Mother Myrt” to many because of her caring ways. She brought great joy to her family even during her time in memory care, where she never lost her sense of humor.
The family would like to thank the team of caregivers/friends at Brookdale Memory Care for making Myrt’s last two years an enjoyable experience and the hospice team at Methodist Hospital for their gentle care during her last two days.
