Milton “Milt” Henry Hilbrecht, 82, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on August 18, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 21, 1940, in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Milt and Netty Hilbrecht. Milt was preceded in death by his parents, his beautiful daughter Kristine Wesley, and his sister Linda Hutchinson.
Milt is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Jean, son Kirk (Sharron), son-in-law Pete Wesley, grandchildren Kyle, Claire, Emily, Kayla, and Jake. He also leaves behind sister-in-law Joyce Innes and niece Mandy Cousin-Young.
Milt attended Kenmore High School in Buffalo, NY and Alfred State College in NY, where he was a member of the Keynotes, an acapella quartet, which fueled his lifelong love of music. He had a successful business career, working at The Burroughs Corporation, Control Data, and Storage Tech.
Milt was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Community in New Hope, MN, for 51 years, where he and Jean guided many young couples through engaged encounters. He was also involved with St. Joe’s Parish Community. Fellow Parishioners became fast-friends, travel companions and family.
In his free time, Milt enjoyed various activities including traveling the world, spending time at the family cabin in Leon, New York, working on Lionel Model Trains, building electronic kits, driving his beloved 1968 Catalina convertible, and grilling chicken on Sundays. Above all, he treasured time with his family.
Family and friends are invited to share memories of Milt at the visitation from 1 p.m. to 2pm on Saturday, September 2nd, atSt. Joseph Catholic Community - Parish Center, 8701 36th Ave N, New Hope, MN 55427. A funeral mass will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with internment in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Milt will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
