Mildred "Milly" Windsperger Melrose

Mildred "Milly" Windsperger Melrose, age 97 of Robbinsdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Milly was a member of Robbinsdale High School Class of 1945, and later worked at the 1st Bank of Robbinsdale for 42 years and at Hackenmueller's for 37.  She had a strong passion and love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and also for animals.  Milly loved cards and games with family and friends.  She loved to have a full calendar, keeping busy with her family and with baking (sweets, cookies--making 1000's of cookies every holiday season). Milly always loved sending cards for all occasions--birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, etc, usually with a $2 bill enclosed.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Andrew "Bud" and Milton; great granddaughter, Alex Rose.

Milly is survived by children, Jim (Nicki), Randy (Debbie) and Cheryl (Dave) White; grandchildren, Kristi (Pete), Janna (Kevin), Lori (Ross), Gina (Anthony), Leah (Randy), Christopher (significant other Lindsey) and Casey (Tom); great grandchildren, Tyler, Gabby, Andrew, Emma, Cal, Cole, Carli, Camden, Jax, Mac, Avery, Quinn, Chase, Colt and Lily; great-great-grandchildren, Opal, Jaiden, Brooks and Jackson.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the card groups at both the VFW and Broadway Court, Judy Fodstad, Nancy Kirchner and Hackenmueller's for all their kindness and friendship.

A special thank you to the North Hospice Team, especially Kiki for her compassion and listening.

Memorial service will be 12 Noon on Wednesday, January 29 at Elim Lutheran Church, 3978 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, with visitation after 10:00 AM.  Private interment.

Memorials are preferred to Elim Lutheran Church or to the Animal Humane Society.
