Michael J. Reis

Michael Joel Reis, 82, of Maple Grove passed away July12, 2023. He was born to Sam and Alice Reis on September 18, 1940 in Minneapolis.

He is survived by loving wife and best friend of 45 years Lynn, children Ron, Amy (Phillip) Tucker of Atlanta, GA, Matt (Candace) Carlson of Minnetonka, Laura (Scott) Ferguson of Maple Grove, grandchildren Caroline and Jack Tucker and Skylar and Trygve Carlson, sister in law and brother in law Laurie and Brad Running as well as a nephew, nieces and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents, brother David and son Scott.

He was a 1958 graduate of North High in Minneapolis after which he served in the Army. He worked as an insurance adjuster for the majority of his career. After retirement he enjoyed a second career at Methodist Hospital as a patient greeter. He was a proud Mason and Shriner where he volunteered countless hours as a clown named Twinkie. Mike and Lynn traveled extensively and count Israel and an African safari amongst their favorite trips. He was an avid fisherman and he and Lynn spent part of the last 2 years in Florida.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 Friday July 21 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church 7401 County Road 101 Maple Grove, MN 55311, with a visitation beginning at 2:30.
