Maxine I. Holper

We regretfully announce the passing of Maxine (Ioset) Holper residing at St Therese at Oxbow Lakes, Brooklyn Park, MN on August 26, 2021. Maxine was surrounded by her loving family and passed away peacefully.

Our mother, Maxine, was the strongest, kindest, and most compassionate spirit to ever walk this earth. We were blessed to have her as the head of our family.

Maxine was born September 9, 1924 to parents, Fred and Anna Ioset in Wadena, MN. She graduated with honors from Wadena (MN) High School and went on to attend Edinburg Community College in Edinburg, TX. She was proud to have served on the US Ration Board during WWII. Later in life, she worked in Dietary Services for nursing homes in St Louis Park, MN and Sun City, AZ.

On September 26, 1944, she married Ralph Holper and together they went on to have 3 children. Maxine was an amazing and loving mother and grandmother, who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Maxine was proceeded in death by her husband, Ralph, and son, Thomas. She is survived by her son, Robert (Kathy) Holper, and daughter, Susan (Terry) Williams, and grandchildren, Angel (Jason) Petit, Nicholas Holper (Jennifer), Stacey (Travis) Parker, and Travis (Tone) Williams in addition 5 great-grandchildren.

Our family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St Therese Oxbow Lakes and North Memorial Hospice for the love and compassionate care extended to Maxine.

Please consider a donation in Maxine’s name to Feed My Starving Children or Disabled American Veterans as these organizations were important to Maxine.
