Mason Christopher De Master
Mason Christopher DeMaster, Age 1, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Minnesota Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis with his Mommy and Daddy by his side. Mason was born June 29, 2017 at Masonic Children’s Hospital with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He was a very tough little fighter who endured much. He is now in his new home in Heaven where he can finally play, laugh and have fun. He will be missed terribly but there is relief that he is no longer suffering.
Mason is survived by his Daddy and Mommy, Chris and Lisa (Nelson) DeMaster of Plymouth, MN, sister Allison (who he adored), paternal grandparents, LeRoy and Mary DeMaster of Brookfield, WI, and maternal grandparents, Gerald and Mary Jane Nelson of Plum City, WI. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mass of Christian burial will held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 155 County Road 24 in Wayzata, MN. Visitation will be one hour before at the church. Mason loved colors, so feel free to wear colors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Camp Odayin (http://campodayin.org/). It is a camp for kids with congenital heart defects that we had hoped Mason would attend one day.
Mason’s parents would like to say a special thank you to all the wonderful medical professionals that cared for Mason at both Masonic Children’s and Children’s in Minneapolis. You became an important part of our family.
