Mary Therese Traxler-Orstad

Traxler-Orstad, Mary Therese, age 77 of Crystal, MN passed away April 20, 2019.  Mary Therese was born Aug. 28, 1941 in St. Peter, MN to Philip and Mary Traxler.  She married Carl Eugene Orstad on July 9, 1994 in Hopkins, MN.  In addition to Carl, she is survived by step-children, Kelli Hemenway and Cully (Heidi) Orstad; sister, Ellen (Curt) Ericson; nieces and nephew, Shelly (John) Elstad, Nicole (Brady) Blaska, Jon (Dawn) Ericson; treasured great nieces; nephews; step-grandchildren; many godchildren; special friends, Donna Maus and all the Cleveland High School Class of 1959; and all the students Mary taught at Groveland and Deephaven.  1963 graduate of Mankato State.  Preceded in death by parents; brother, Philip Gregory Traxler; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Mary Therese taught 1 ^st grade for 38 years in the Minnetonka School District.  Mary and Carl enjoyed 17 years of retirement spending six months each year in Bradenton, FL.

Memorial Mass Thursday (4/25), 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM at the Church of St. Margaret Mary, 2323 Zenith Ave. No., Golden Valley.  Funeral Mass Friday (4/26), 10 AM with visitation starting at 9 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 165 No. Waterville Ave., Le Center, MN.  Interment St. Henry’s Cemetery, Le Center.  Memorials preferred to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
