Mary Mildred (Byron) Marple

Beloved mother of Dick Marple of St Paul, Pat Barbeau of Robbinsdale and Mary Kay Marple of Northampton MA. Grandmother of Joe (Kristina) Barbeau, Will Engel and Clare Engel.

Preceded in death by parents Mary Elmira (Conway) and William E Byron, brothers George and William R Byron and son-in-law, Tom Barbeau.

Survived by her children, grandchildren and siblings James (Rita) Byron, Paul (Mayone) Byron, Helen Curran all of Waseca, and S Colleen Byron of Rochester, and many nieces and nephews.

Strong family ties were important to Mary as was her Irish heritage. Mary spent most of her adult life in Faribault. She filled many roles in her 40 years at Shattuck/St Mary's Schools in Faribault. She enjoyed reading (biographies, history, fiction and British mysteries). Gardening, politics, cards (bridge, poker, etc) and baseball were other interests. She liked people and took a genuine interest in those she met. Special thanks to the caregivers and staff at St Therese of New Hope.

Memorials preferred to Public Libraries or charities of donors' choice
