Tadich, Mary Elizabeth
64, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 24 in Minneapolis. Born on September 25, 1959, to Mary Catherine (Nevin) and Donald Martin, she grew up in Bloomington, MN. Her ancestors emigrated from Counties Mayo and Sligo in Ireland and from Croatia before immigrating to Green Isle, MN and Eagle River, WI, respectively, two places with which she was immensely proud to be associated. She attended Bloomington Lincoln High School and the College of St. Benedict, graduating in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in English and German. At St. Ben’s, Mary particularly enjoyed the semester abroad she spent in Germany. After graduation, she taught English at the St. John’s Prep School. Mary married Michael Bauer, also of Bloomington, in 1983, and they raised their four children in Minneapolis. Above all, Mary loved her Catholic Faith and her family. She was an active member of both Annunciation, where she sang in the Women’s Schola, and Our Lady of Peace parishes in Minneapolis.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Catherine and Donald, and her youngest sister Molly. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Michael Bauer; their four children: Natalia (Phil) Hudelson, Greta (Michael J.) Wodarcyk, Anthony Bauer, and Gabriel (Caroline) Bauer; their five grandsons and one grandchild due later this year: Nicholas, Liam, and Alfred Hudelson, Michael X., and Leo Wodarcyk, Baby Bauer; her sister, Teresa (Mark) McCarthy, and brother, Matthew (Oksana) Tadich.
The Funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Annunciation, 509 W 54th St., in Minneapolis on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at 11:00 am, with a reviewal immediately prior at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights. Donations may be made to Relevant Radio.
