Mary Louise Gully Dorr

Mary Gully Dorr, age 89, Minneapolis, died peacefully May 19, 2017.

Preceded in death by her husband Leo J. "Bud" Dorr, parents Matthew W. and Caroline Gully; nine siblings, Raymond, John, Clifford, Daniel, William  and Aloysius Gully; Irene Vaplon, Josephine Nunberg and Barbara Irvine.

Mary was raised on a grain and livestock farm in ND. Graduating from high school at age 16 as class valedictorian, s he began her working career in Minneapolis, married and raised her big family before returning to work retiring in contract sales from Sears in 1989. An active woman, Mary had many interests and enjoyed life very much entertaining family and her great circle of friends, as well as her seamstress work, playing piano, cross country skiing, swimming, camping and staying healthy. As a member of Friendship Force she traveled the world. She suffered dementia the last several years of her life.

Survived by six children, Patricia (Jerry Klasen), Gregory (Karla) Dorr, Kathryn (Tom Boese) Dorr, Thomas (Polly) Dorr, Mary Ellen (John Hnath), and James Dorr; 13 grandchildren, Kate (Mike Drury), Anna (Christian Schick), Elle and Sarah Klasen, Sam, Franny, Michael and Justin Dorr, Aleyna (Pontus Burevall), Joan and Carolyn Dorr, Joe (Brianna) and Rachel Hnath; 7 great grandchildren; 5 sisters-in-laws; many nieces and nephews and friends.

Minneapolis MN
Visitation at church 9 -10 AM.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
