Mary Anne was born on November 15, 1923 in Cincinnati,OH. She lived in Ohio for most of her life and dearly loved her home state. Mary Anne, being an only child, was raised by loving parents and big baseball fans. Her father loved Notre Dame, his school, and the Cincinnati Reds. Mary Anne was adept at most sports including bowling, tennis, golf, and baseball. Her competitive nature and love of sports was something that she passed on to children. Some of their favorite memories are of being taken out of school to attend the opening day baseball game every year in Detroit and attending the World Series in Detroit in 1968. She was a huge Detroit Tigers fan in the 60's, an Indians fan in the 80's and 90's and a Twins fan the past ten years. Her love of basketball and LeBron James was boundless. In all circumstances, sports was the topic she and her children could always talk about with pleasure.
