Mary M. Abe

Formerly of Bloomington.

Mary was born November 26, 1923 in Roseville CA and died peacefully on March 9, 2016 in Wayzata, MN. She was a member of Hobart United Methodist Church. Mary will be remembered for her pleasing smile, her kind heart, her devotion to her family and Old Dutch potato chips for lunch.

Survived by children, Jo Ann (Wes) Toy, Matthew (Lynn), Mark; grandchildren, Brian Toy, Alex (Pang Houa) Toy, Joseph Abe, Emily Abe; great grandson, Takashi Toy; brother-in-law Ed Okada, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, William T. Abe; parents, Kashiro and Shizuye Tanigawa; siblings (interned during World War II at Tule Lake Segregation Center with Mary), Sara Okada, Grace Traynor (William "Moose" Traynor);

Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
