Martha C. Arens

Martha C. Arens, age 89 of Rogers, MN formerly of New Hope, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2020.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon N. Arens; sister, Mary McKenzie.

Survived by her sister, Elaine Annis; children, Debra Ringwelski (Robert) of Coon Rapids, MN, Richard Arens (Sue) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Janet Arens (Matthew Magsino) of Stoneham, ME, Marlys Arens of Faribault, MN, Kathleen Sorby (David) of Bovey, MN, Michael Arens (AnnMarie) of Rockford, MN; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Martha was born in Kimball, MN to Roy and Frances Kersten.  Martha worked at home caring for her children and many more. Eventually she went to work at Thriftway Market in Crystal, MN where she worked in and managed the Deli.  Martha enjoyed spending her time with family and at the “The Farm” where she was raised.

A private Memorial Mass for the family will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Church of St. Raphel with in interment at Gethsemane Cemetery.  A public Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
