Marlys M. Teteris

Marlys M. Teteris, age 88 of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away on December 21, 2023.

Marlys is survived by her children, Mark (Eva) Teteris, Scott (Leslie) Teteris; grandchildren, Allegra, Alyssa, Jacquelyn; stepdaughter, Guna Beitz; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gunars; siblings, Melrose, Dean, Lorne, Arlen; son-in-law, Robert 'Bob" Beitz

Marlys was born May 31, 1935, in Vesta Township, Minnesota to Melrose and Selma Schnackenberg.

Marlys was a mother and an entrepreneur who owned her own beauty shop and later became an LPN caring for our veterans at the Minnesota VA hospital. When she retired and moved south Marlys became an active member of a quilting club and made hundreds of comforting quilts for her church, to help the less fortunate.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5th, 2024, preceded by an hour of visitation at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
