Lindstrom, Marlys Anina (Lundbeck) Lindstrom, of Minnetonka, MN, passed away November 21, 2020. Born in Milltown, Wisconsin on September 11, 1936 to Louise and Oscar Lundbeck. She was raised and attended school in Amery, WI. Preceded in death by mother Louise; husband Herbert Lindstrom; brother Oscar; cousin, travel companion, and life-long best friend Mary Waataja; and beloved dog “Mitsy".
Survived by sister in-law Eby Lundbeck; niece Laura (Gerry) Boiciuc; step-daughters Mary (Patrick) Delmore, Ann (Fred) Abeles; many cousins, friends and all those who knew her as “Grandma Marlys”.
Marlys was a lover of travel and her strong Danish heritage. She celebrated EVERY holiday by lavishly decorating her home. A giving soul, Marlys was dismayed by the high cost of education and the burden of college debt, she was proud to support the education of many.
Marlys worked for several years at International Multifoods and later as Vice President of Minvalco Inc. Eventually she moved in to Parkwood Shores Reflections community where she received attentive care and support.
While always in our prayers a “Celebration of Life” will be held, when it is deemed safe to gather. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Second Harvest Heartland food shelves.
Private burial, Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji, MN.
