Marilyn Jean (Snyder) Sweet passed peacefully on August 15 th after a short battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 75.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by family and friends. Marilyn was born in La Crosse, WI to Merton and Mildred Snyder, and graduated from Edina High School and Hamline University. After many years as an elementary school teacher and EBD paraprofessional, Marilyn earned her Master’s in Special Education from the University of Minnesota while raising 3 children. In her retirement, she became an avid family historian and enjoyed her time with the Monument Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Marilyn will be remembered for her thoughtful, caring, and generous nature. She was an advocate for women and education, and was grateful to her God for each beautiful day.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Andrew and daughter Stephanie (Joel Bowlsby); 10 grandchildren, Dustin, Aurora, Noah Jr., Bobby, Kieran, Sam, Marshall, Carter, Olin, and August.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clinton and John; and oldest son, Noah Sweet.

Private service with interment at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
