Marilyn Susan Phillippi

Marilyn Phillippi was born in Minneapolis on March 26, 1953 and died peacefully on April 6,2023 while her beloved sister Sally prayed at her side.

Marilyn leaves behind her longtime companion, Bob Mallon.  Marilyn and Bob made a lot of road trips together with their beloved pets.  Marilyn’s quick wit often entertained both staff and residents at Masonic Home in Bloomington, MN – her home for the past 3 years.  Marilyn always acknowledged everybody’s birthday with the knack for finding the “appropriate” birthday card often to the chagrin of the recipient and never forgot to add cash for a youngster’s birthday.  She was a proud aunt and great-aunt who provided much care and entertainment to her beloved nieces and nephews over the years.

Marilyn has joined the Community of Saints with her parents, Marion and Joe and brothers, Tom and Tim. She is survived by sisters, Kathy (Bill) Fox, Gail Archer and Sally Hunner and brothers, Mike (Kathy) Phillippi and Joel (Bonnie) and many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the staff at Masonic Home with special gratitude to Nicole, Charles, Health Partners Brenda Anderson for all their support and communication with the family these past three medically dominated years.  Recently Grace Hospice stepped in and added their support and communication.

A private service has been held.
