Marilyn was born on July 26th 1932 in Minneapolis and lived with her family in the Theodore Wirth Chalet (formerly Glenwood Chalet) where her father was the golf pro/manager. Marilyn graduated from North High School in 1950 where she met Frank at a school dance. Marilyn attended the University of Minnesota.

Marilyn and Frank married in 1955 with a ceremony and reception at the Chalet. They raised their family in Brooklyn Center. Marilyn and Frank founded Concept Machine Tool in Plymouth in 1975 where it is still in operation today. They enjoyed traveling the world for both business and pleasure, spending many winters in Florida playing golf. Marilyn and Frank were longtime members of Golden Valley Country Club.

Marilyn was a dedicated volunteer for North Memorial Auxiliary and sixteen years on the inpatient Hospice unit until it closed. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Robbinsdale Chapter #238.

Marilyn was excited to be one of the first residents to move into Trillium Woods on July 9th 2015, where she loved everything about her new home and community. Marilyn will be remembered for her kindness. She was a caring person who was always gracious, humble, reliable, strong, smart, and generous. Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort in our many cherished memories shared throughout Marilyn’s long life. Marilyn enjoyed good health and independence until the last six weeks of her life, for which she was always grateful.

The family would like to thank North Memorial Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Marilyn and her family during this difficult time.

Memorials preferred to North Memorial Hospice 3500 France Ave N Suite 101 Robbinsdale, MN 55422.
