Maria Eladia Figueroa

On Thursday, July 15, 2021, Maria Eladia Figueroa, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 84.

She is survived by her son Carlos, her sister Leonor, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Carlos, and by her parents, Gaspar Gonzalez and Maria Aguilar Pou.

Maria was born on August 26, 1936 in Havana, Cuba. In 1956, she married Carlos Figueroa. They had one son Carlos Manuel. Maria raised her family in St Louis Park, MN. She took in and cared for numerous members of her extended family over the years. In addition to cooking Cuban delicacies, she enjoyed shopping for bargains, garage sales, and telenovelas.

A service will be held at 11 AM Friday July 23rd at Gearty-Delmore St Louis Park Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association or local food banks.
