Margie (Tall) Hanson

Margie was born on August 5, 1928 in Clear Lake, SD and grew up in Montevideo, MN. She graduated from Montevideo H.S. in 1946 and completed her education at Hamline University with a teaching degree.

She married her high school sweetheart, Berkeley in 1951 and together they raised three children. She was a supportive and nurturing mother, never missing a band concert or a ballgame. Margie and Berkeley owned and operated Hanson’s Pharmacy, formerly located in North Minneapolis.

Margie was a faithful member of Valley of Peace Lutheran Church where she shared her gift of music as organist, choir director and choir member. She loved
playing golf into her 80’s and was an avid, competitive bridge player. She cherished family vacations at the lake and the annual winter ski vacations.

Margie's distinctive laugh will be missed by all who have known and loved her.

She was preceded in death by loving husband, Berkeley William Hanson; parents, Harry and Marcia Tall; brothers, Maurice Tall and Doug Tall.

Margie is survived by children, Judy (Randy) Stark, Phil (Kim) Hanson, Deb (Darrel) Gerber; grandchildren, Alex (Lina), Maddie, Jake, Nathan, Lisa, Jessica, Monica,
Becky; great grandchild, Emma.
