Margaret Ann (Krezowski) West
Margaret born March 20th, 1939, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 22nd, at home with her family, exactly the way she wanted. It’s an impossible task to sum up a person’s life in a few paragraphs; but we will try to do our Mother justice.
If you were lucky enough to know our Mom, you knew how much she loved her family; and knew that she was the beautiful glue that held our family together. Mom and Dad were married for 53 years and provided the solid foundation on which we built our lives. Mom devoted her life to caring for Dad, raising four children, and enjoying her grandchildren. She loved each of us and made us feel cherished and special. Mom touched many lives with her compassion, strength, support, and humor. Her friends loved and admired her, and will miss her. She was a beautiful, smart woman, constantly busy, and very involved in watching over our families. Our lives will be emptier without her.
One of Mom’s favorite places was the family cabin on Big Sandy Lake near McGregor, Minnesota. We have fond memories of growing up, spring through fall weekends at the cabin – boating, swimming, fishing, exploring, and relaxing on the deck enjoying family happy hours. We believe her spirit will reside with our Dad’s and our grandparents’ at that special place.
Mom was preceded in death by husband, Roger West, her parents, Albin and Annamary Krezowski, and her brother, James. Mom is survived by 4 children: Ann (Steve) Rorem, Lisa West and Patrick Findley, Joan West (Paul) Talbot, and Jonathan (Terry) West. Mom is also survived by her grandchildren: Nicholas, Joseph, and Michael Rorem; Mariah and Anthony (Payton) Ring; Lathe and Annalise Talbot, and Ashley (Kevin) Tetamore, a Ethan and Lily Chang, and Averie Tetamore; and Walter, William, and Camille West. Sister-in-law Liz Krezowski, Brother-in-law James (Kathy)West, cousins, nieces and nephews.
As we grieve our Mother’s death, we also celebrate her life and her reunion with our Dad and other loved ones who’ve passed away. We know she’s watching over us with them, smiling down on us, until we see her again.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 6th, 2023, at 11 a.m. preceded by an hour of visitation at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 West Broadway Avenue, Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Visitation will take place from 5 – 8 PM on October 5th 2023, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels, 3888 West Broadway Avenue, Robbinsdale, Minnesota. A private burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
