Margaret Ann Miller

Margaret Ann Miller passed away peacefully on March 1 st , 2021 in Wayzata, MN. Marge was born on all Saints Day, Nov. 1 st 1932, in Jamestown, ND.  Marge was preceded in death by her husband Roy Miller; her parents Ruth and John Wagner of Minot, ND;  her sister Jane Dunham of New Rockford, ND and her brothers Don Wagner and Bob Wagner.

She is survived by son John (Kris) Miller; son Dan (Shawna) Miller and grandchildren Hilary (Nate) Umhoefer and great-grandsons (Harrison and Walter), Rebecca (Rudy) Borowczak, Brandan Miller and Sienna Miller; and daughter Kathy (Mike) Kyllonen and grandchildren Rebecca (Conor) Maher, and Bryan (Ashley) Kyllonen.

Marge graduated from New Rockford High School in 1948 and played in the school marching band before moving to Minneapolis where she met her future husband, Roy Miller, who had just returned from serving in the Navy during the Korean War.  They were married June 1954 until Roy’s passing in 1979.

They raised their family in North Minneapolis, later moving to New Hope, MN in 1969. Marge went back to work for Dana’s Women’s Clothing and became the store manager and general accountant. She carried herself with pride and loved working at Dana's, a real joy in her life that fueled her passion for helping others look and feel their best.

Marge always put her family and friends first and was remembered as Mrs. Claus to her grandkids for her thoughtful gift giving, that was her pure joy.  She took time to send out cards to family and friends for birthdays and holidays with her trademark signature XOXOXO.  She had a unique ability to make people feel special and genuinely cared for others.

We shall never forget the joy she brought to her friends and family from her roots in North Dakota and her early days in Minneapolis;  Nancy, Sarah, Jean, Elaine, Terry, Betty, and more. She made numerous friends over the years, including Duane, Nancy and Mary from her experience at Dana’s, Sharrie and Cal from her time at the Grammercy, and the Folkstone caregivers that loved and watched over her in her final days.

There will be a celebration of life for Marge later this year. Her Caring Bridge site is https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/margemiller01
