Margaret Bristol Johnson, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2019.
Margaret grew up in the Minnetonka area, graduating from Minnetonka High School in 1961. She went on to North Park College where she met her husband of 56 years, Roger Johnson. For 40 years they lived in Golden Valley, where they raised their two daughters, Sara and Katie. Margaret (“Mimi”) had a special relationship with each of her five grandchildren and loved supporting them in all of their activities and endeavors.
Her artistic abilities were evident as a master seamstress, hostess extraordinaire and her decorating panache, especially during the Christmas season. Margaret was active in Covenant Women, School Master’s Wives and spent 35 years employed at Covenant Village as coordinator of activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Ada Bristol; siblings, Alice, Jerry and Connie.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband Roger; daughters, Sara Johnson and Katie Martini (Lee); beloved grandchildren, Kirsten and Joey Meltzer, Madison, Ellie and Molly Martini; great granddaughter, Soren; siblings, Mary Pennock (Paul), Ruth Parten (Dan) and Martha Petropulos (Bill); numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret gave selflessly, loved endlessly and touched the lives of many family and friends near and far.
