Marcella (Marcy) Mueller

Marcella (Marcy) Louise Wangler Mueller

September 7, 1921 to October 7, 2021

We just celebrated her 100th birthday. Truly a sweet, kind soul with a heart of gold. Heaven is graced with her presence. Passed away from natural causes doing what she loved: singing. In perfect pitch, no doubt. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters; husband Leo Mueller. Survived by children, Steve (Rosemary) Mueller, Mike (Dee) Mueller, Mary (Dan) Willie and Ann (Chris) Ossanna; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Marcy loved dancing and singing with her sisters and friends. Not surprisingly, she met her future husband Leo at a dance. They moved to Minnesota in 1953, built a home and raised four wonderful children. A member of St. Margaret Mary and St. Raphael Catholic Churches.

Generosity characterized Marcy’s life. Marcy had a kind word for everyone she ever met. She was as sweet as the chocolate chip cookies she loved to bake. Her special joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She respected others and was quick to find common ground. She remained a humble and gentle soul to the end.

Marcy was one of the first residents at Calibre Chase Senior Apartments. It wasn’t long before she was teaching line dancing, publishing the resident newsletter, giving rides to the store and generally making friends with everyone there. She led her line dance troupe into her 90’s. Declining health finally forced her to leave the apartment she loved.

Marcy spent the last three years at St. Therese of New Hope, most recently in the memory care unit. Her aides made her time there more bearable, and her family is forever grateful for their care and for the great staff at North Memorial Hospice. A special thanks to all our cousins and family friends that loved Mom as we did. Your visits, phone calls and love meant so much to her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Rd, Crystal on Tuesday, October 19 at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.

Memorials to your favorite charity. Marcy would want to include as many possible in your giving.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make us happy, when skies are gray…
