Luann A. Bergman

Luann Bergman, age 89, long time resident of Spooner, WI, passed away on December 22, 2024. Luann was preceded in death by parents, Reuben and Julia Bergman; sister, Carol Hemmila; niece, Cathy Herstrom; and brother in law, Terry Lutz. Luann is survived by sister, Sandra Lutz; nephew, Terry “Mike” Lutz; niece, Jennifer (Scott) Van Wey; and grand niece, Catherine Van Wey; nephew, Scott (Hope) Hemmila and niece, Anne (Greg) Bodenberg.

Luann was born in Superior, WI. After she graduated from East High School, she went on to earn a B.A. in music at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York in 1956. Luann also earned a M.A. in English in 1964 and a M.S. in teaching in 1966.

 Luann had a long music teaching career in the Spooner, WI area and loved to share her knowledge of music. She also played piano and organ at many church services and events, and taught many kids piano over the years. 

Luann was a truly kind person who was always generous with her time to help others. 

Services will be held at Spooner Methodist Church on February 8, 2025 with viewing at 11 am and service at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to PBS.org or Spooner Methodist Church.
