Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery
Loren V. Westman, age 87, of Maple Grove,was called to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 21, 2020. Born on March 23,1933 in Minneapolis, the son of Dr. Leonard V. and Ethel Westman.
Faithful husband for over 61 years and loving, supportive father.
Preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Matuszak, grandson, Matthew Westman and brother, John Westman.
Survived by loving wife, Patricia; son Jeffrey (Renee) Westman; son-in-law Mike (Natalie) Matuszak; grandchildren Katie (Zach) O’Neel, Dan (Linzy) Westman, Amy (Sam) Rinehart, Molly (Sam) Barnhart; great grandchildren Talia, Sarina & Arabelle O’Neel, Peyton and Asher Westman, and Makenna & Madelyn Rinehart; sister-in-law Norma Westman and nieces and nephews.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota he spent his career in government service. He was known for his integrity, honesty and service to others. His primary commitment was to his Savior and led him to serve faithfully in his local church. Time with family and friends was always a priority, whether on the golf course, in social gatherings, or at his Rush Lake cabin.
Funeral Thursday, December 31st at 11:00 AM at New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Ave. N., New Hope.
