Loren Gordon Smith

Loren Gordon Smith, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away May 12, 2022. He was born August 3rd, 1957 in Edina. Loren attended North Central University and married Kimberly 1980 and moved to Robbinsdale where they started their family.

Known as the “John Wayne” for Jesus, Loren lived a life unapologetic of his beliefs and demonstrated his values and love for God in everything he did. Loren leaves behind his legacy of outreach to those around him. It was not uncommon for him to find a new friend anywhere he went, or have strangers over for a meal. He found any opportunity to talk about his amazing family and the second love of his life, his wife (His first love was God). He handed down his love of cars, hunting, and helping others to his children and grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Kimberly, his children, and grandchildren. The service will be May 20, 2022 (10:00 AM) at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels, 3888 W Broadway Ave, Robbinsdale, MN 55422, with visitation 45 minutes prior.

Interment Orono Cemetery, Elk River.
