Lois spent her childhood on the family farms in Bovey and Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, and had many older and younger siblings. After graduating from Greenway High School, Lois moved to the Twin Cities. Lois was a wonderful mother to her daughter Judy, who was born in 1962. She also cared for many nieces, nephews, and family members with her endless motherly love. Lois worked as a waitress and later for Sears Roebuck until her retirement. She married Jake Ripsin in 1984 and spent many wonderful years with him. Lois traveled to more than forty countries for both vacation and missionary work. Over the years, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, The Lois Club, the End-Time Handmaidens, and a City of Plymouth garden volunteer. Lois was active in her service to Jesus at her church, Vision of Glory, in a myriad of ways. Lois loved her family more than anything and was big part of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s lives. She never missed a family event and was proud to cheer all of us on. She was a selfless caregiver and loved helping others. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones in her last days on her Journey into the arms of Jesus.
