Lois H. Karvonen

Lois Karvonen, age 99, passed away on January 21, 2023.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarion, and daughter, Mary.  She is survived by her daughter Kathy Fulte (Curt), special nieces and nephews, Susie Burke (John Berge), Daniel Haataja, Michael (Jan) Martin, Mary Alice Donovan, and many more loving nieces and nephews.

Lois loved to entertain at home and always made the holidays magical for her family.  She was an avid and competitive card player, and enjoyed rooting for her favorite baseball team, the Minnesota Twins.  As an Air Force spouse, she lived many years abroad, including in Japan and Germany.  Lois had a keen eye for art and decorating and collected many beautiful and unique items during these years.   She also hand-crafted many lovely gifts for her friends.

Please join us to celebrate and remember Lois’ life at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 145 Jersey Ave S, Golden Valley. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Private interment at Fort Snelling at a later date.
