Lois M. (Tracy) Hellen

Lois Mildred Hellen, 84, of New Hope passed away Saturday November 6 ^th , 2021 at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale.

Lois Mildred Tracy was born October 20 ^th , 1937 in Austin, to Raymond John and Mildred Frances (Janning) Tracy. She was baptized and confirmed in the Church of Saint Augustine. She graduated from Saint Augustine High School in 1955.

Lois was married to Ernest Lavern Hellen April 21 ^st , 1956 at Saint Augustine, to this union six children were born. Lois and Ernest moved from Austin to the Twin Cities in the mid 1960’s. She was a retired employee of Pfizer having worked there for many years.

Lois was a devoted member of the Church of the Sacred Heart. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, volunteering, tending to her rose bushes, and travelling.

Surviving Lois are five children: Randy (Mary), Mary Jo Johnson (Greg), Rick, Ronald (Leaha), and Lori Hackett (Howard). Eleven grandchildren: Ryan (Lindsay), Ashley Hopson (Ryan), Jennifer Johnson-Harris (Brian), Christopher (Korrine), Bryanna, Trent, Travis, Benjamin, Sarah, Nicole, and Tyler. Six great-grandchildren: Christiana, Payton, Paige, Luke, Jovie, and Briar. A brother Vernon (Barbara), three sisters Joanne Mauer, Karen Tracy, and Terry Tracy, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Ernest, a son Ernest Jr, a grandson Jeffrey, and her brother Richard.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 A.M., Tuesday at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 41st Avenue North and Hubbard Avenue North, Robbinsdale.  Private interment Calvary Cemetery, Austin, Minnesota.  Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
