Liv Kristine Grosser (Iverson)

Liv Kristine Grosser (Iverson), age 58, went home to be with the Lord and Savior she loved so much on Friday, May 26th, 2023 at her home in Greenfield, MN, in the company of her best friend/husband, Steve.

Liv was born to Jane and James Iverson on February 12, 1965, in Chisago City, MN. She attended St Cloud State University where she met her husband. She later transferred to St. Kate’s University where she graduated as a Registered Nurse, later completing her Bachelor’s of Nursing from Bethel University. She later went on to complete her Master's Degree in Christian Counseling. On May 21st, 1988 she married the love of her life, Steve Grosser. They were married for 35 years and have been a stunning example of faithful love to so many.

She worked as a nurse before dedicating her time to raising her children. She was an exceptional mother and took great delight in all her children. She lived her life fully for the Lord,
serving and loving people so deeply in all that she did. The world is a more beautiful place because of her. It would be nearly impossible to list all her many accomplishments (and she wouldn’t want such a fuss made about her). To name only a few: she founded Bien Aime Farm, Mercy House Minneapolis, and with her husband created Adopt 100 to financially support adoptions. There is no one like her. To know her was to be blessed, loved, and inspired.

Liv loved to listen to 70s and 80s music and dance around the house when she was feeling down. Her favorite foods were coleslaw, brownies, and coffee frappucinos. She was known in our family for her nurturing love, dark humor, and tireless work ethic. She often sang in the choir in her church, played piano at home, and took great delight in worshipping her Lord through music.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amy; and father, James. She is survived by her loving husband, Steve; her beloved nine children: Ben, Shelby (Patrick), Molly (Michael), Isaac, JJ, Sam, Nick, Peyton, and Hannah; three grandchildren in whom she found great delight: Adelyn, Lucy, and a baby boy on the way; her mother, Jane; her sister, Laura and her brother, Andrew.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4 pm - 7 pm on June 2nd, 2023 at Gearty Delmore Funeral Home, 15800 37th Avenue North, Plymouth, MN.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 3rd at 11 am at New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Ave. North, New Hope, MN with a reception to follow.  The service can be streamed at: https://vimeo.com/event/3455253/49d41ef2cf

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to True Hope for Orphans which is an orphanage in Ukraine or to Mobile Hope which is a local faith based ministry within mobile home parks nearby, or to donate a perennial plant to be included in a memorial garden in Liv’s honor.

“Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has
nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever… But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.” Psalm 73:23-26; 28
