Lisa Marie Mundahl passed away unexpectedly on January 27th, 2022 at the age of 45. Lisa was born on August, 20th, 1976 to her loving parents Charles and Karen Mundahl, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Lisa attended high school at Robbinsdale Cooper followed by attending Mankato State (now known as Minnesota State Mankato) where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Lisa started her career as a paralegal in Minneapolis working at several law firms around the Twin Cities before making a move to Texas in 2001. Lisa specialized specifically in the area of Immigration Law and continued this work for 20 years while she lived and worked in both the Houston and Dallas area. Lisa had recently moved back to Minnesota in May of 2021 to be near her family who is extremely grateful to have had her close the last 8 months. Lisa was a dedicated daughter, sister, auntie, friend, and colleague to all who knew her. While Lisa never had children of her own, she was an animal lover and dedicated “dog mom” to her beloved Sophie. Lisa and Sophie spent over 11 wonderful years together until Sophie passed in 2016. Lisa loved a good laugh, brunch, happy hour, being around those she loved, and most of all watching and talking football. Lisa made lasting impressions on all who knew her over the years and had the special gift of making friends and building lasting relationships wherever she went. Many are grieving the loss of this beautiful soul who has left us far too soon, but her spirit and love will live on in our hearts forever. Lisa is survived by her parents Charles and Karen Mundahl, her sister Nicole (Mundahl) Cancialosi, her brother-in-law Michael Cancialosi, her nephew Luca, and niece Brooklyn, and many many other beloved family members, friends, and colleagues from around the country. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at a later date.
