LaVergne Marie Raskob

LaVergne Marie Raskob, age 95, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 14, 2021.

She was born on October 6, 1925 to Bernard Joseph Dahlheimer and Harriet Marie Guimont in Osseo, Minnesota, where she lived all her life until she married Lester B. Raskob on September 3, 1947 and moved to Plymouth, Minnesota.  She had 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Her life was filled with love for family and the Lord and support of her husband.  She served her husband well; like a grace-filled ballroom dance, staying in step with him.  She loved people, remembering many details about their lives.  She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles and kept abreast on current events.  She had a curiosity for learning and loved learning more about God’s Word, the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Leeroy Dahlheimer, husband, Lester, and son-in-law, John Anderson.  She is survived by her children: Renee, Lorilee (Bob), LaDonna (Mike), Richard (Brenda), David (Angie) and Jim (Patty); and grandchildren: Michael, Jessica, Karina, Brian, Leah, Krista, Ben, Andy, Angel, Matthew, Mirjana, Annamaria, and Gianna; and great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Rebekah, Ethan, Max, Hannah, Naomi, Katherine, Damien, Austin, Sarah, Julia, Anna, Maria, Joseph, Brigid, Daniel, Oliver, Michael, and Mila.

Her celebration of life will take place at Holy Name Catholic Church, 155 Cty Rd. 24, Medina, Minnesota, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.  A time of viewing will precede the Mass and her burial will follow. We thank the caring staff at St Therese at Oxbow Lake where she lived for the past 8 years.  Our hearts are filled with deep gratitude and thanks for the wonderful blessing she was to each of us.
