Beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Kerry Ann O'Day was found deceased from natural causes on Friday, November 20, 2020 at her apartment in Plymouth, MN. Kerry was 55 years old.
Kerry was born on August 24, 1965 in Fargo, ND; to L. Patrick and Louayne O'Day. She graduated from Shanley High School in 1983. She then attended Moorehead State University in Moorhead, MN; Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN; and graduated in 1989 with a bachelor of science degree. Kerry grew up and lived in Fargo, ND off and on, and always considered it home. She was a wonderful and loving person who cared for all of those she met. She loved people.
Kerry was an artistic person and had a long, successful career as a graphic design artist/marketing events coordinator. She ended her career with Tennant based in the Twin Cities, MN, where she loved her "work family", including management, and fellow employees. Tennant treated her very well over the years and she always spoke very highly about her time there. She was also an avid cook. She created a variety of recipes to help her live with diabetes. She loved to make salads and desserts. Her siblings would feel she was getting her "sweets" by seeing all of them smile when they ate them. She was also the Christmas Elf and would take charge in the gift exchange each year.
Kerry would want to be remembered for the love she felt for her dogs. She rescued several from shelters through the years and raised them with love. They were her family. Her sisters and brother remember her as their sweet little sister, wonderful person and friend, and are very sad at her passing. She will be missed very, very much.
She is survived by her siblings: Kathleen (Jon) Faruolo, Rochester, MN; Sheila (Marc) Boddicker, Rapid City, SD; Mary O'Day, Edina, MN; Joan (Doug) Waldschmidt, Maple Grove, MN; L. Patrick Jr. (Tammy) O'Day, Fargo, ND; 13 nieces and nephews, 6 great-nieces and nephews; her uncles: Dan O'Day, Fargo, ND; Fr. Gordon Tavis, Collegeville, MN; and Rob Tavis, Indianapolis, IN; and so many loving cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, L. Patrick and Louayne O'Day.
In lieu of flowers, Kerry would want donations to be made to:
