Kenneth Stanley Moore was called home to heaven on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer, he was 78. The world has lost the kindest, most generous husband, father, grandfather, brother uncle, cousin, and friend.
Kenneth was a hard worker and an entrepreneur from a young age. As young as 8, he was shining shoes, setting pins in a bowling alley, caddying at a golf course, and hauling trash on weekends with his father’s truck. At 15, he began his career as a plasterer and eventually bought the company from its predecessor. The beautiful stucco homes he created will stand tall for centuries. He served in the Army and was a member of the Plasterers Union for over 50 years.
After a local street dance, he offered a group of teenage girls a ride home in his 59 Pontiac convertible. Kay was one of those beautiful girls and they were married in 1969. Together they built a home in Corcoran, Minnesota, and raised three children. Their love was one to read about in fairytales and anyone who knew them, felt loved and supported beyond measure.
Kenneth had an incredible love for life and a good understanding of what was important, the simplicity of living a life surrounded by those you love. The only thing he valued almost as much as his family and friends was his collection of old cars. It was in these many cars that he found great joy and would spend hours and years painstakingly restoring them to their original glory. You would often find him at a swap meet or car show looking for an original part to complete his latest project.
His grandchildren were his heart and he loved spending time teaching them to fish, garden, mow the grass, cut wood, restore old cars, and make the best chocolate chip pancakes! Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Moore and his sister, Maryann.
He is survived by his loving wife Kay; grateful children, Kristen (Jason), Karen and Kevin (Heather); adoring grandchildren, Addison, Grayson, Lillian, Ashlynn and Audrey and beloved sister, Jessie (Harold).
A private family Mass will be held at a later time.
