Keith Dennis Rohde went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 53 years old surrounded by his family. He gave up his twenty four-year battle with various cancers related to Li-Fraumeni Syndrome. His latest battle was two years with adenocarcinoma of the esophagus, which had metastasized to his pancreas. He fought a long battle for our family.

Visitation will be Friday, April 2, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels, 15800 37 th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446 and Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the ElmCreek Community Church from 10:00-10:45 AM. Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM located at ElmCreek Community Church, 9717 Revere Lane N, Maple Grove, MN 55369. Family & friends are welcome to wear Green Bay Packers attire in memory of Keith’s favorite football team. Everyone is welcome to bring a camp chair to hang out together outside at either place.

Keith was born September 22, 1967 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Allan Dean & Dorothy Lois (Campbell) Rohde.

He was a 1985 graduate of West Milwaukee High School. He served 4 years active duty with the United States Army and was honorably discharged as an E4 Specialist and 4 years in the Army National Guard. While on active duty, he was stationed in West Berlin, Germany before & after the wall came down and even helped take down part of the wall.

He later graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Associate’s degree in electronics. In 2011 he graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in software.

Keith married Lynette Reuter on May 31, 1997 after meeting on a blind date in 1996. He adopted Lynette’s children in 2002. Keith was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother & friend.

He worked in various electronic positions after his military career. He started with Medtronic as a temporary assembler. He worked his way up to quality and other technician and engineer positions and most recently was a Principal Product Development Engineer at Medtronic over his 25 year career with them.

Keith leaves behind his wife Lynette Rohde and daughter Maria Rohde (Marc Laluk), mother Dorothy Rohde, and father-in-law Julius Reuter. His surviving siblings Elizabeth Rohde, Linda Sowinski, James Rohde, Allan (Cheryl) Rohde Jr, John (Jan) Rohde, April Rohde (Paul Smith), Sue Rohde, Donna (Charlie) Gagliano, Paul (Joni) Rohde, Christopher Rohde, Mark Rohde. His sister- & brother-in-laws Geralyn (Dan) McGrath, Brenda (George) Kilburg, Jane (Dwaine) Rickertsen, Barb (Tim) Burken, Jolene (Glen) Trenkamp, Gerianne (Glen) Sprank, Gary (Julie) Reuter, Roger (Jill) Reuter, Mary Kay (Jim) Sorensen, Anita (Bob) Urban, Ardell (Jill) Reuter, Darwin (Angie) Reuter, Gayln (Jackie) Reuter, Frank (Traci) Reuter, Janine (Brian) Kueter, Craig (Chawna) Reuter.

He leaves behind 15 Rohde nieces & nephews (their 1 spouse & 1 child) and 44 Reuter nieces and nephews (their 23 spouses & 42 children) and as well a host of other family and friends.

Keith is preceded in death by his son Patrick Rohde, father Allan Rohde Sr, brothers Tom & Dale Rohde, brothers-in-law Nick Sertich, Bob Sowinski, & Duane Eggers; mother-in-law Mary (Kilburg) Reuter, nephew Jonathan Reuter & great niece Leala Nelson.

Keith had a sense of humor that kept you guessing if he was serious or not. Keith was known for his quick wit and snarky comments gaining him the nickname Steve as his alter ego.  A special thank you to all of the doctors, staff and nurses from Allina Hospice.
