Kathryne Aubart

Preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 64 years, Larry; father, Henry; mother, Clara (Krier); brothers, Wilifred, Omar, Joseph, Donald; sisters, Regina (Melberg), Olivia (Carey), Sr. Sienna, Virginia (Krauss), Marie (Modesette).

Survived by her cherished children, Michael (Cathleen), Peter (Karen), Paul, and Mary (Steve Schaefer); brother, Henry; sister, Isabel (Powell); thirteen grandchildren; and many treasured in-laws, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.

Kathryne was the ninth of twelve children born to Henry and Clara Lemm of Columbia Heights, MN. She married Larry on January 6, 1951 and thus began a loving, idyllic relationship that sustained them for the rest of their lives. Kathryne was a dedicated wife and homemaker. She was the best cook we have ever known, delighting all with homemade rolls, cakes, pies, cookies, roasts, and so much delicious more. She was also an accomplished gardener, quilter, knitter, thrift shopper, and she routinely outfished us all on North Long Lake (Brainerd, MN). Kathryne was a woman of unwavering faith in God and lived Mother Teresa’s advice daily: “Keep the joy of loving God in your heart and share this joy with all you meet especially your family.” We miss her more than words can express.

Burial at  St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Brooklyn Park, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Sacred Heart Church.
