Kathryn Ann White (née Berbee), 63, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home the morning of January 15th, 2025. Survived by her Husband of 40 years, Todd White, daughters, Kylie and Claire (Dylan) White, mother, Donna Berbee, siblings Teresa (Steve), Stanek, Peter Berbee, and Susan (Mark) Ryshavy, Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, Terrence (Christine) White, Annette Nesseth (née White), and Ruthann White, Mother-in-Law Helen White, and multiple nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Matthew Berbee, Brother-in-Law Ralph "Tim" White, Father-in-Law Ralph A. White, and Grandparents.

Kathe was born on September 13th, 1961, to Matthew and Donna Berbee in Minneapolis, MN and grew up in Menomonee Falls, WI and Deephaven, MN. She graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1979 and attended Normandale Community College and The University of Minnesota Duluth. She graduated with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Education in 1984. While at UMD, she became president of her sorority, Gamma Sigma Sigma, and led and organized multiple service events. She went back to school and obtained her Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2013.

She met her husband, Todd White, while attending University of Minnesota Duluth. They were married on August 24th, 1985 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Deephaven, MN. They raised two daughters, Kylie and Claire, in Minnetonka/Hopkins and Shorewood, MN. Kathe instilled a love of nature, desire to learn, and a drive for service and self-proficiency in both her girls. She enjoyed summers on Lake Minnetonka with her family and winters exploring all that Minnesota has to offer. Kathe wanted to be outdoors as much as possible.

Kathe loved art and nature. She was a born educator and taught children and adults with Minnetonka Public Schools, The International School, Three Rivers Park District, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Kathe was an active Master Gardener, teaching summer 4-H classes through the UMN Extension program. She enjoyed spending summers on Lake Minnetonka, as well as trips to the North Shore of Lake Superior to explore the parks and trails with her family.

She was a member of the Wayzata Yacht Club, where she raced J24s, Capri 25s, and Sonar sailboats with her crew on Lake Minnetonka and Lake Superior, and won Boat of the Year racing on the Blowfish.

She enjoyed hiking across Minnesota with her daughters and hiked all Minnesota State Parks with Kylie, including an epic 1600 mile road trip in summer 2023 to finish the final twelve parks on the list. Kathe sailed around the world on 9 different cruises with Todd and multiple friends and family, visiting Canada, the U.S, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe. In her free time, Kathe enjoyed batik, tie-dye, sewing clothing, costumes, and everything in between, throwing pottery, and creating stained glass artwork. She had numerous gardens and grew all sorts of plants. She created a fairy garden every summer using fairy houses she built or decorated herself.

Kathe was a force of nature. Despite being diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) in 2016, she never let it slow her down. She continued hiking and traveling the world with her family and spent time with Todd and friends at numerous sporting events, breweries, and on the lake. Kathe enjoyed a cruise to the Bahamas with her family in the last weeks of her life.

She will be dearly missed.
