Kathryn L. Weiner

Age 48 of Maple Grove, passed away from cancer February 21, 2022. Her spirit is now at peace.

Kate prided herself on putting family and friends first. Though her life was shorter than expected it was very full.

Kate grew up a Charger and a Spartan at Churchill High School and Michigan State University. She saw a lot of the country and not enough of the world.

Kate loved her family and friends fiercely, followed her passions, served her country and it’s people in both the federal and state government (aptly passing on Presidents Day), as well as worked for leading companies E and J Gallo and Cargill.

She is survived by husband, Bryan; sons, Zachary and Brandon; mother, Frances; sisters, Laura (John) Landis, Lisa (Dean) Fisher, Sarah (Russ) Donaldson; brother, John jr., cousin Eric Smythe; nieces and nephews, Melissa, Rachel (Greg), Matt (Samantha Jo), Lisa (Jacob), Eric, Hanna, Haley, Kennedy; In-Laws Francesca, Steven, and Cindi; and other relatives and many friends.

Kate had a huge heart, quick wit, contagious laugh, and a big smile. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Memorial service 11am Tuesday, March 8th at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 Highway 101, Maple Grove with visitation beginning at 10am and luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, please take time to hug your family tight, help out a friend in need, and if appropriate support your favorite charity while remembering Kate.

We very much appreciate the love and support all have shared with our family and we send our love and support back to all of you as Kate moves on to a better place.
